Tea Story

Gu Yu Mao Feng is a highly esteemed green tea from China, celebrated for its delicate flavor and fresh, grassy aroma. The tea is harvested during the Gu Yu ('Grain Rain') season in late April, a time when the weather is warm but not too hot, providing the ideal conditions for the growth of tender young tea leaves. The name Gu Yu refers to the Chinese solar term that signals the arrival of spring rains, marking a period when the land is nourished and the tea leaves are at their freshest.

This tea hails from the lush mountains of Huangshan in Anhui Province, a region renowned for its tea production, where the soil and climate work in harmony to produce some of China's finest green teas. The leaves of Gu Yu Mao Feng are meticulously hand-picked during the early days of the harvest, ensuring the selection of only the youngest, most tender buds. These leaves are then gently steamed and rolled into elegant curls, showcasing the craftsmanship and care that goes into each batch.

The tea offers a sweet, vegetal flavor profile that reflects the freshness of the spring harvest, with a distinct grassy note balanced by a smooth, light finish. Its jade green color, soft texture, and fragrant aroma make it a perfect representation of the season it was born from.
