Wild Keemun | Qimen Hongcha
TASTING NOTES: honey, apricots, rye bread
Keemun (Qimen) Tea, also known as 'Qimen Hongcha' or 'Keemun Congfou,' is a distinguished black or red tea exclusively produced in Qimen, Huangshan. Revered for its rich, red-hued liquor, this tea is perfect for a traditional Kungfu-style Chinese tea ceremony. Originating from 1875, it owes its creation to Yu Gan Chen, a former Wuyishan officer who introduced the sophisticated fermentation techniques of Fujian's Lapsang Souchong to the skilled tea artisans of Qimen.
The tea has a smooth and mellow honey brew with a nice and very subtle hint of smokiness.
