Tea Story

Song Luo comes from the mountains of Anhui, a region long associated with green tea production. Historically, teas from this area were valued for their clarity rather than intensity — made to be steady, drinkable, and consistent across infusions.

The leaves are harvested in spring, then pan-fired shortly after picking. This step fixes the green character of the leaf while introducing a subtle warmth. Unlike more aggressively shaped teas, Song Luo is processed with a lighter hand, allowing the leaf to retain a more natural form.

Its character reflects this approach. There is no sharpness or strong vegetal edge. Instead, the tea develops gently in the cup — moving from fresh green notes toward something softer and slightly nutty.

It is a tea built on balance rather than contrast, meant to be returned to rather than analyzed.
