Tea Story

Darjeeling sits high on the slopes of the eastern Himalayas, where cool air, shifting mists, and steep mountain gardens create one of the world’s most distinctive tea terroirs. Unlike lower-grown black teas built on strength, Darjeeling is celebrated for fragrance, complexity, and seasonal nuance.

Himalayan Wine draws from the tradition of summer flush Darjeeling, harvested after the delicate first flush season. By early summer, the leaves grow thicker and more developed, producing teas with deeper color, fuller body, and the famous fruit-forward character often compared to fine wine.

This blend is assembled from selected high-elevation estates, where tea bushes rooted in mountain soils develop concentrated flavor under strong sun and cool nights. The style balances brightness with richness, giving more structure than spring teas while preserving Darjeeling’s signature elegance.

The name reflects more than romance — it points to the way terroir, elevation, and season combine to create a tea whose character changes year by year, much like vintage wine.
