    About

    The idea for Panda Dreams tea set was born from a simple sketch — just a sleeping panda nestled beside a tea cup. It was drawn on a rainy afternoon in Jingdezhen, the historic city known as the porcelain capital of China. A young ceramicist, tired of seeing only traditional motifs on teaware, wanted to create something playful — something that could make people smile, even when brewing tea alone on a quiet day.

    She grew up near Chengdu, where wild pandas roam the misty bamboo forests. For her, the panda wasn’t just a national symbol — it was a childhood memory, a connection to gentleness and stillness.

    She envisioned a tea set that could travel, just like she often did. It needed to be light, sturdy, easy to pack, and feel like home wherever it went.

    Working with local artisans, she developed the soft gray ceramic, perfectly complementing the hand-painted pandas, each slightly different depending on the brushstroke.

    The gaiwan was shaped with an intentionally wider body, making it easier to hold and pour for both beginners and experienced brewers. The glass faircup was added for clarity — so one could watch the color of each steeping bloom like a sunrise in a small cup.

    The result was this compact, comforting set: a panda dozing on the lid, two matching cups, and a sturdy, travel-friendly case with a transparent window — so you could always see the little panda looking back at you. Designed not just for tea, but for companionship.

    Use & Care

    How to Use

    Set up your brewing space with the gaiwan, glass faircup, and cups. Add tea leaves to the gaiwan, pour over hot water, and steep briefly. Pour the infusion into the faircup to evenly distribute flavor, then serve into each teacup. Ideal for multiple short infusions, perfect for savoring every nuance.

    How to Care

    Avoid sudden temperature changes to protect the ceramic. 

    Cleaning tips
    Hand wash all components gently with warm water —no harsh detergents. Dry thoroughly before storing in the travel case.
