About

Matcha is finely ground tea, so the powder needs to be mixed directly into water. The whisk’s 100 fine bamboo prongs help break up clumps and work air into the tea, building a thick layer of fine foam.

A lovely choice if you enjoy your matcha well whisked and frothy. Use it for a bowl of matcha on its own or to prepare the base for a latte. With regular use, the curled tips gradually relax and the whisk changes shape. Let it dry well between cups, and replace it when the prongs become brittle or start to break.

Use & Care

How to Use

Soften the tips briefly in warm water before you begin. Add sifted matcha and water to your bowl, then whisk briskly back and forth in a small M or W motion to build the foam. Keep your movements light and avoid pressing the tips against the bottom.

How to Care

Rinse with clean, lukewarm water after use. Skip the soap, sponges and dishwasher. Shake off excess water and leave somewhere airy to dry fully. A whisk stand can help support its shape. Avoid storing it damp in a closed case.
