Tea Story

Yunnan produces a wide range of black teas, many built from the province’s famous large-leaf tea trees. While some styles emphasize richness and weight, Golden Tip teas are valued for precision, elegance, and tenderness.

This style is made from small golden buds and fine young leaves, carefully plucked in spring when new growth is most delicate. During oxidation, the fine hairs on the buds turn a glowing gold, creating the tea’s distinctive appearance.

Compared with larger Golden Needle styles, Golden Tip teas tend to brew a brighter and more agile cup. The smaller material extracts with clarity, giving sweetness and aroma without the same dense, syrupy body.

Produced in Yunnan’s mountain tea regions, where mist, altitude, and warm days shape concentrated leaf growth, this tea shows another side of Dian Hong craftsmanship: less weight, more finesse.
