About

A conventional pitcher asks the hand to find its spout before every pour. Tea Server Simply replaces that single opening with a stainless-steel rim that runs around the top of the vessel. The tea can leave from any side, so the server can be lifted and poured in one natural movement.

A removable filter sits beneath the rim. Loose leaves can brew directly inside the glass body, then remain behind as the tea is served. The server can also be used as a fairness pitcher, receiving a complete infusion from a gaiwan or teapot before it is divided between several cups.

This second use is important when tea is shared. Pouring the full brew into one server keeps the strength even, so the first cup and the last cup taste alike. The clear glass also shows exactly how much tea remains and keeps the colour of the infusion visible at the centre of the table.

Remove the filter and the same vessel can serve pour-over coffee or other drinks. The 450 ml size is suited to a smaller tea table, while the 700 ml version holds a larger shared infusion, cold tea or several servings at once.

Use & Care

How to Use

For direct brewing, warm the server, add loose tea leaves and pour in water at the recommended temperature. When the infusion is ready, pour from any point along the rim; the filter will keep the leaves inside.

To use it as a fairness pitcher, prepare tea in a gaiwan or teapot and pour the entire infusion into the server before dividing it between cups. Remove the filter when using the vessel for pour-over coffee.

How to Care

Take apart the filter, stainless-steel spout and silicone seals and rinse them after use. Wash with mild dish soap and a soft sponge.

The manufacturer lists the server as dishwasher safe. Only the glass body may be used in a microwave, with every metal and silicone component removed. Do not use over direct heat or in an oven. Dry all parts fully before reassembling.
