About

A matcha whisk is delicate by nature. Its fine bamboo tines are made to move quickly through water and powder, creating a smooth, foamy bowl of matcha — but after use, they need to dry properly to keep their shape.

The ORIGAMI Matcha Whisk Stand is a modern version of the traditional chasen holder, designed to support the whisk after rinsing. Placing the chasen over the stand helps the tines return to their curved form, instead of collapsing inward or drying unevenly.

The stand can also be used in reverse: flip it over and rest the handle of the whisk inside the opening while you prepare your matcha tools. This two-way design makes it practical for both storage and daily preparation.

Made in Japan from porcelain, it has the clean, minimal feeling of ORIGAMI teaware — functional, calm, and easy to keep on the counter. A small object, but an important one if you want your bamboo whisk to last longer and stay beautiful.

Use & Care

How to Use

After whisking matcha, rinse the chasen gently with lukewarm water. Shake off excess water and place the whisk over the stand with the tines facing down. Let it dry in a well-ventilated place.

The stand can also be flipped over and used as a temporary holder for the handle of the chasen while preparing matcha.

Rinse or wash gently with mild dish soap when needed.
Dishwasher safe.
Microwave safe.
Heat resistant up to 120°C.
Dry well before storing.
Avoid sudden extreme temperature changes.
