About

Made by Saikai Ceramics in Hasami, this bowl belongs to the Hakuwan series. Its color, Geppaku, means “moon white.” The light glaze makes the green of your matcha stand out beautifully.

The bowl opens gently at the rim and rests on a small foot. There’s room to whisk with a light hand, then settle both hands around the bowl for a sip. It comes in a gift box, ready to give or keep.

Use & Care

How to Use

Warm the bowl with hot water, then empty and dry it. Add sifted matcha and water at the temperature recommended for your tea. Whisk with quick, light back-and-forth movements, keeping the tips from pressing against the bottom.

How to Care

Wash by hand with mild dish soap and a soft sponge. Microwave safe; do not use in the dishwasher or oven. Fine lines may develop in the glaze and pick up color with use. Avoid sudden temperature changes and dry fully before putting away.
