About

HARIO has been working with heatproof glass since 1921, creating practical glassware for coffee, tea and everyday rituals.

The Teapot Zen is one of those pieces that feels immediately easy to use. The body is made from clear heatproof glass, so you can see the tea leaves unfold and watch the infusion change colour. The large stainless steel strainer follows the shape of the pot, giving the leaves enough space to expand and release their flavour more evenly.

The 450 ml size is generous enough for two people, or for one slow personal tea session with several small cups. It works especially well for Japanese green tea, but is also beautiful for Chinese green teas, light oolongs, white tea, black tea, and herbal infusions.

The shape is clean and balanced, with a smooth pour that makes the teapot feel calm in use. A simple everyday object, but with the quiet pleasure of glass: the steam, the colour, the leaves, the pause.

Use & Care

How to Use

Add loose leaf tea to the stainless steel strainer. Pour in hot water at the temperature recommended for your tea and let it steep.

For Japanese green tea, use cooler water and a shorter infusion. For oolong, black tea or herbal infusions, adjust the temperature and steeping time according to the tea.

Pour fully after brewing to keep the flavour clean and balanced.

How to Care

Remove used tea leaves after brewing.
Rinse the teapot, lid and strainer after use.

Dishwasher safe.
Microwave safe for the glass parts only — remove the stainless steel strainer before microwaving.
